If there's one thing Kim Kardashian loves to wear more than a show-stopping dress, it's a bikini. From microscopic two-pieces to plunging one-pieces and glow-in-the-dark versions, Kim hasn't met a swimsuit she hasn't liked. So, when it came time for her 43rd birthday party, Kim combined the best of both worlds into one look that was half dress, half bikini. 

On Friday, the SKIMs founder stepped out to celebrate her special day at Funke restaurant in Beverly Hills, wearing a vibrant red dress with cutouts and strings tied together down the sides and an assortment of crisscrossing straps at the neckline much like a bikini top. Kim accessorized with orange strappy heels and nighttime sunglasses to block out the paparazzi's camera's flashes. 

Her dark brunette hair was worn down in crimped waves with a middle part, and she finished off her glam with a nude lip, long lashes, and a bronzy contour. 

At the party, Kim was joined by her sisters — Khloé and Kendall and Kylie Jenner — her mom, Kris Jenner, as well as close friends Hailey Bieber, Kimora Lee Simmons, and Lauren Sánchez. Ivanka Trump, Sofía Vergara, and Sara Foster were also in attendance. 

The next morning, Kris posted a sweet birthday tribute to Kim on Instagram. "Happy birthday to my beautiful girl @kimkardashian," she wrote alongside a slideshow of throwback snaps of the mother-daughter duo. "I fell in love with you the moment we met and I’ve been obsessed with you ever since. I feel so blessed to be your mommy and I am so incredibly proud of you every single day. You are the best daughter, mother, sister, auntie, cousin, best friend, confidant, travel partner, shopping buddy, stylist and therapist."

She concluded, "I admire you more than you know, and I want you to know that you are an inspiration to so many, but especially me."
