Some Ryan Reynolds superfans may be aware that he filmed for tennis legend John McEnroe’s McEnroe show, but where is the footage? Well, the star has revealed that he got so horrendously drunk, that it didn’t get to air.
The movie star shot the show all the way back in 2004, which, unfortunately, only aired for a few months. For those who know the personality of both the celebrities on the show, you’d know it was probably a good job it didn’t make it to air after all…..

Ryan Reynolds got ‘horrendously drunk’ on the McEnroe show
We’re sure a bit of Dutch courage before going on a TV show doesn’t harm anyone, however, it seems the Hollywood star took it too far on McEnroe’s show.
Speaking on the Strike Force Five podcast, the Deadpool star revealed he got “bonelessly drunk” on the show:
“It didn’t make air because he and I just got horrendously, bonelessly drunk on the show,” before revealing that the two “shared a bottle and finished it.”
“Standards and practices of course don’t allow you to do such things, So it never made it to air,” the 46-year-old concluded.
The McEnroe show was broadcast from July-November 2004 on CNBC, but despite not being a huge success, as well as commentating on the Grand Slam tennis tournaments, he also landed a spot narrating Netflix‘s Never Have I Ever. As well, as an actual cameo.
The star opens up about his mental health

Although he’s known for his comical Twitter posts with wife, Blake Lively, the star recently opened up about his mental health, which is “not always great.”
The actor attended Bring Change to Mind’s 11th Annual Revels & Revelations Gala in New York earlier this week, and opened up about his own mental health, to Page Six, where he feels himself “out of control.”
When asked how he maintains his mental equilibrium by the publication, the 46-year-old responded by saying: “Not always great, to be honest.”
“I certainly have my own little rituals and those kinds of things that help me stay grounded and keep my mind from spinning out of control,” he said. “Sometimes I’m really good at it, sometimes I’m not.”
Back in 2022, the star revealed that he’d been struggling with anxiety his whole life.
